Is Hip Hop Back?!

Is Hip-Hop on its way back? I know Lupe said it's coming back to the lyrics on his track "Failure." Know I know I was excited but this music kept getting very repetitive and boring with people like Gucci, and Oj. The club scene is cool for the club! When it comes to "Hip-Hop" the game has been lacking substance. I know it's 2009 and things are changing but that doesn't mean the artist's releasing music need to dumb down the music completely! With Eminem's release of "Relapse" I have been in a great mood musically the album is classic! Em shows you can have the shock factor, singles, and underground all in one lane! Well, here are a few tracks that breathe that breath of fresh air into the Hip-Hop scene! ENJOY!

The Huston was born in Cleveland Ohio on December 6, 1988. At the young age of 17 He was forced to leave his parents house due to dissimilar views. He began working a job in downtown Cleveland where he met Mikel Mahoney also known as Jus Mic, they both began talking about music and Hip-Hop primarily. As they grew as friends Jus Mic saw a passion in The Huston and later asked him to help with promoting him as an artist with Goodshyt Entertainment. Now a few years later The Huston has grown into a complete "Hip-Hop Addict" as he calls himself. He has spent many days, weeks, and months promoting real Hip-Hop with a meaning. He is also very passionate for artists with a purpose! He know is working hard at getting many underground artists the exposure and respect they deserve. Artists like Jus Mic, ProphtheProblem, Twizted Mind, Kayo Alcatraz, Drastic, and King.Dom. He is one of the newest members Of Prhymal Rage also where he plans on doing album reviews and to help promote the great talent that Prhymal Rage has. With The Huston it is very evident that he doesn't stand for waterdowned Hip-Hop and is trying to help find a balance in Cleveland and across the entire Hip-Hop scene!

“The Transfiguration Of Nox” is the 6th official mixtape/promo cd from Cleveland emcee Noxtradamas. Known for composing the majority of his mixtapes with all original music, Nox combines those originals with several mainstream remix tracks to present a diverse 15 track hip-hop project; with the same type of story telling tracks that got him recognized in Cleveland in the first place. Relationships, reckless teen mothers, temptation, family life, getting arrested, and even a fantasy hook-up with a Blockbuster Video cashier are just some of the stories contained in this project.

Aside from his sometimes humorous rhetoric, the overall vibe of this mixtape maintains the genuine consciousness and real life stories of humanity, and packs every emotion possible into a cd that must be recognized for it’s universal appeal to any listener. Although most often compared to Eminem, Nox is not just another white rapper wanna-be. K'Naan Album Troubadour Is Dope

I went out today and was planning on buying a new album that I felt like I need to support. So I went to a few places and remembered K'Naan came out with his album "Troubadour" in February so I was like yeah I'll have to check this out. The album is extremely dope I saw him perform at House of Blues in Cleveland this past winter with Jus Mic and knew the dude was an amazing artist. This CD has some great collabs like Mos Def, and one of my favorite artists Damian Marley. So, If you really want some music with a great Hip-Hop vibe or his African self enlightenment vibe go buy the cd! Make sure to check out "America" ft. Mos Def & "I come prepaired" ft. Damian Marley.
