Jus Mic- Still Standing
So, where do I start? I have known Jus Mic for about 4 years now. We first became "homie's" back at our job at a print finishing company in downtown Cleveland. I came into the place only 17 years old fresh off of being kicked out of my parents home. I was extremely scared and worried about how the world was going to treat me and where my future was going to lead me. I later heard a song he did called "Still Standing" that is about him being broke, homeless, not having family around, and how he won't give up, which was a song I grabbed onto as my theme song for that period in my life. I say all that to say this, Jus Mic was the one guy at my job who saw me as a "misfit" and in a way took me under his wing and showed me it was okay to be worried about how I was going to survive! I later found out that he rapped and sang. At this time I didn't really listen to rap because I was looking for music that could reach me and that I could relate to. I first heard Jus Mic on myspace.com and was amazed at his attention grabbing voice and his message he portrayed through rap and singing. Jus Mic is of both African American and Italian decent so he has a cultural diversity about him that draws people from all cultures to him and his music, he has also been through a lot in his life that you can hear in his music. Jus Mic is doing major things in Cleveland and now across the world from major features on illroots.com and jenesismagazine.com to the 50mic tournament in Miami a few weeks ago. Also, Fans have been contacting him from over seas and across the country with the same story of how his music has touched them in there time of need! This is a rare thing in Hip-Hop and that is why I am such a huge supporter of real Hip-Hop and Jus Mic's music especially! All I ask is that you give him a listen and form your own opinion off that.
He has recently released a "CD Sampler" that was mixed by Legendary DJ Mick Boogie & Terry Urban that you can download above!

QP "Ordinary Guy" Single *Free Download!
After a rocky childhood in Cleveland, Ohio, Devon Hubbard aka QP is taking a hold of his life and career. The 22 year old rapper has been through plenty of hardships throughout his life. Growing up in foster care, QP found serenity in music and ultimately began making his own. Starting out as a freestyling rapper, QP gained performing experience and his lyrics began evolving as he started putting thought into what he was saying. QP has quickly become one of the Midwest’s most respected lyricists. His witty punch lines and off-the-wall character meshes well with his knack for making catchy hooks, making each song unique with QP’s unmistakable rhymes.

Midwest's Machine Gun Kelly!
The Midwestern United States is an area generally known as the heartland. It is, in fact, a cultural crossroads making up both the geographic epicenter and the population center of the United States of America. To 18-year-old Colson Baker, alias "Machine Gun Kelly," it is simply home.
Unlike many of his peers, "MGK" had the opportunity to experience firsthand the global village at an early age. Only two weeks after he was born, "MGK" relocated to northern Africa where he found himself speaking Arabic before he learned to speak English. After making his exodus from Egypt, he began a lifelong journey that would take him through cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, Cleveland, and others to reach his destiny.
"HIP HOP saved me," says the 6'3 blonde haired, blue eyed "Kells." Being raised by a single dad and circumnavigating the globe as an adolescent was not as easy as it sounds. "Hip hop music allowed me to communicate with kids from every background and nationality in places where I wasn't always welcome, which was everywhere I went. Being a white boy in a predominantly black industry can help me take five steps forward, but it also pulls me back ten." Knowing this, he honed his lyrical skills and delivery to the point where he could amaze even his "would-be" foes with his talent when conflict arose, as it often did.
Now named "Machine Gun Kelly" for his ability to spit rapid fire lyrics, he found his way to Cleveland, Ohio in 2005. After relocating over 10 ten times throughout his childhood, "MGK" discovered as a young teen that hip hop music was the one constant in his life. And, he made sure that he didn't waste any time breaking into the local hip hop scene. After being there in Cleveland for only a year, he was nominated for an Ohio Hip Hop Award in the category of "Best New Artist" category and things have not slowed down since then.
Beginning with his mixtape series, "Stamp of Approval," now on its fourth installment, he has been a feature artist on the Cleveland mixtape circuit, including: "DJ Flaco and DJ EV presents: P.U.S.H. hosted by Young Buck," "DJ Uncut: Cleveland's Crack", & "DJ Step One's: I Run 08." Last year this culminated in "MGK" being awarded the honor of being the first Cleveland artist to receive a "classic rating" on Z107.9's "Home Jams” radio show hosted by Cleveland's own “DJ Latin Assassin".
Baker has sited most of his influences as being some of the premier vocal talents in urban music. "The Temptations," "The Fresh Prince," "Mystikal," "Tech N9ne," "Busta Rhymes," & of course and, of course, "Twista," are all known for their enigmatic live performances as well as pugilistic oratory skills. Perhaps it is their influence which drives his energetic performances, whipping crowds into a frenzy that few artists, independent or major label, could can match. His stage presence garnered him an Ohio Hip Hop Award nomination for "Best Mixtape Artist" & and "Best Live Performance" this past year, as well as a feature performance on "MTV’s My Super Sweet 16". This has led to interviews with local magazines such as Cleveland's "Scene" and radio shows like Sirius Satellite's "Shade 45'' with Angela Yee and Elliot Wilson. The highlight of his career came last year when he was booked to perform overseas in Paris, France at one of the city's premier clubs, Duplex, and at the Fete de la Music.
2009 has come roaring in and "MGK" feels as though the time is right to make his national debut. His new single "I'm A Star" declares his arrival and serves as his mission statement to the world that his future rests on top of the charts. "Homecoming" is his salute to Cleveland and the Midwest, in which he is firmly grounded and rooted. "Machine Gun Kelly" knows he has a long way to go to reach his destiny, but he is confident that he will get there. He should know…he's been on the road a long time....

GTC & THERE GRIND!
The Grind. Whether you go to school, work a 9-to-5, or hustle, grindin’ is a way of
life. Such is the case with GTC (Grind Time Central), a Dayton, Ohio-based duo
that have grindin’ in their blood. On their new single, ‘Grind Till I Get It’, set over
an orchestration of epic proportions - the audience can feel their hunger and
motivation, smoothly laid out over five minutes of funk.
Consisting of lifelong friends Slim & Polo, GTC represent the hustles and
struggles of millions of people all around the world - and they’re proud to do so.
“We make world music - Japan, Europe, England – we’re ready to go,” says Slim.
“We’re going back to everybody music - Rated ‘E”, Polo re-affirms. Slim, who
spent time in the choir as a youth, further explains the group’s motivation: “We’re
grindin’ to sell records, and take care of our families. My son is the most
important thing to me. GTC stands for survival and success, and only the strong
survive - we survive.”
It’s their roots in Dayton, though, that provide the backdrop for their
inspirational raps. “We from Dayton,” Polo continues. “You sell dope or you
don’t. We don’t - we keep it movin’.” After seeing countless peers & friends go to
jail for drug offenses, the group decided to stay away from the dope game. For
Polo, though, this avoidance came with a blast of irony “When I was 17, my
parents admitted that they’d had a drug problem - for years. They’d kept it
hidden.” This struck a deep chord with him - “We all have issues…”. Slim chimes
in, “All we have is music.”
